IAC Housing Stripped Bolts
I picked up a BBK 52MM TB off eBay for relatively cheap ( >$100). It was used, and the they had started removing the IAC housing, and broken off the heads of a couple of the bolts. I got the housing off the TB, and was able to get the bolts out with some penetrating lube, and vice grips. I picked up some new bolts for the housing (after a thorough cleaning), and put it back together with a new gasket set. The bolts work great on some of the holes for the housing, other ones just stripped out before I could put any torque on them (not even using a socket). I am trying to figure out what other people have done to fix the bolt holes. Did you drill and tap, or helicoil? If drill and tap, any ideas what size?

I used a lot of helicoils in aerospace with great success. I personally would start with them.
My opinion.....
Good luck, its just aluminum.
