hard start
305 TPI.
Issue: hard start. Cranks fast, and will crank for awhile, then sputter like a cylinder or two are firing, and stop. Will continuously do this for awhile then finally start and run. Will die shortly after that without giving it gas. If you give it gas for awhile, it'll run fine on its own.
Tests or facts I know:
Fuel pressure shows 42-45 PSI steady when running.
Fuel pressure shows 25 PSI first turn of the key today.
New adjustable fuel pressure regulator, set pressure while running.
Fuel pump has never been changed, however makes an audible buzzing when key is turned forward for priming, has low voltage drop on ground and power side
Going to change the fuel filter soon, already have one.
What am I looking at guys? Fuel pressure also drops off slowly before starting. I'm assuming the pump is bad or the fuel filter is clogged, because the injectors are also new, so there is no bleed off through them.

Re: hard start
Same issue here. Cranks hard on cold starts, but if been running recently (1/2 hour -hour) will start right away. I recently did some mods, delete smog, EGR, cam, reprogram, new 4 hole Bosch injectors, exhaust etc. I am wondering if this would have anything to do with my EVAP canister and the vacuum lines from that? Seems like the fuel lines losing their "prime" after time. Any ideas?

Re: hard start
You're supposed to have a certain amount of pressure in the tank aside from the EPA not wanting fuel vapors in the air. There's a thread on here where someone explains how they rigged a pressure sensitive device to the evap line, too much pressure, it vents a little, too little pressure it holds the valve closed.
Least, this is to the best of my knowledge.
