L98 comression ratio

So did the compression ratio for the 350 TPI change over the years? I see many keep stating 9.3:1, however, my 88 GM service manual states 9.5:1 for the L98 and 9.3:1 for the TBI and 305 TPI.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

Re: L98 comression ratio

I know the earlier engines have a dished 4 valve relief piston and the later SD used a flat top with 4 valve relief piston.
