T56 troubles still........
Can someone tell me exactly how to wire up the clutch safety switch so I can start my car. I had a post earlier that James was helping me with ,but I don't think he's on here right now.
I have a 89 iroc auto car w/t56 swap. the 6 wire plug that went to the auto shifter obviously has my wires for the clutch switch. I keep reading here that the two fattest wires are yellow and purple. Well, my wires are purple and green. So do I run these wires directly to this switch that resides behind the clutch pedal? Also, there is a switch in font of the clutch pedal as well; just like a brake light switch. what goes there?
I can,t remember the last time I had this car running. I believe this swap is going on it's 6th month.

Dont worry bro you are right. The yellow and purple are for 88 and older cars. You have the right ones. Run them to the switch behind the clutch pedal (the one that hits when the pedal is pressed in). Hope that helps.

here is a connector like mine. Just use the two thickest wires and you should be OK.
here is how I spliced the wires from the console area to the clutch switch. It looks neater than that, but I had to pull them out to take pictures.
here are the pedals I used and the clutch safety switch that you will also be using. The wire pigtail for that switch is GM P/N 12102690.
here are the pedals installed with the switch. The bolt and washers are there because with the McLeod clutch and PP, my fork made contact with the PP- plus it makes a good stop.
