Flywheel and clutch recommendations

Ok, here is the deal. I blew up my T5 a couple months ago, and me being a college student (poor), so I was just going to get rid of the car. But it looks now like I am going to fix the car. So...

I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for flywheel and clutch. I am not looking to spend tons of money, but I will be runinng my engine which is in the signature and an aftermarket T56. I am running a centerforce dual-friction clutch right now, and i haven't been really happy with it. Thanks.

Why aren't you satisfied w/Centerforce? I just put one in my car with a new transmission I got....I am very happy with it...

Nonetheless, Ram makes good clutches also. But I'd say Centerforce has the best flywheels.

Have you given any thought to resurfacing your current flywheel?

I actually work at a machine shop, and have resurfaced my flywheel many-a-times. I've pulled my trans at least 6 times since last summer, and have resurfaced it each time. I think its about time for a new one. Another thing is, when I blew my transmission I am almost positive I did damage to the flywheel in the process. I was doing 90 on the highway then the trans locked up!

The main thing I didn't like about the centerforce unit was the noise. Some people get an annoying squeaking noise that comes supposedly from the throwout bearing, and I was one of those people. I didn't have any problems with the pressure plate or the clutch disk itself.

Yes I have that squeaking too...but my control/clutch arm is very worn but I needed a car so I put the old one back in, awaiting an order from dealership on a new arm.

Centerforce is going good for me now, very smooth.

6 times? Why'd you have to pull it that many times?

But Centerforce also makes pretty good flywheels...even if you don't like their clutches...they also make good throwout bearings.

I'm using the CF Dual Friction in mine as well, but with Hayes 30 lb Billet flywheel. Very satisfied with this combination, though I have the annoying squeek too. Unfortunately, trans is coming apart after about 20,000 miles behind the 350.
I've also had good results with McLeod clutches and flywheels.
Spec makes good clutches from what I've heard, but I've yet to try them.go here and scroll down)

Throwout bearing sqeak...hmmm. I dont have that problem. My only problem is when I run my clutch hard it heats up and the grabbing power isnt there. Not sure if neone has this problem.
