Broke my governor gear off, its in the case now

Well the other night I was trying to change my governor springs again and i broke the plastic gear off trying to get it out. The plastic piece remained in the shaft and the rest of the governor is out. Well, i tried several ways to get the broken piece free, but i was not successful and the broekn piece fell down into the case. I have been told that there is nothing in that part of the case except the speedo gear which is at the top and that is what the governor engages. I can get a new governor in there now, so i could theoretically drive it again. But i am afraid if i do that the broken part might be sloshing around in there. I know that i can remove the tailhousing to get to it, but i am not about to do that, that is a big task for someone doing the job on rhino ramps. I have also been told that there is a speedo gear access hole at the bottom, presumably above the trasn. mount? Well, anyone who might know, let me know, i might give up and get it towed to my mechanic and he can sort it out.

Well i got the answer to my own question, its ok to have the broken gear in there it won't hurt nothing for a short term. So I'll have it removed by someone else when i get the new governor in. This can easily happen, so this will help someone else down the road i hope.
