I just installed a new motor and trans. I am using SLP runners and a vortec base plate. The trans was rebuilt at a local trans shop. The shop has done several performance transmissions for me in the past. He will probably help me tommorrow, but I thought I would get some opinions. I have adjusted the TV by pressing the D button and sliding the plastic back into the cable and then cranking open the throttle and letting the cable ratchet to position. The motor seems to pull well, but I think I would have some more pep if it downshifted two gears instead of one. I tried the trans in the car before I took the old motor out and it worked great with the stock l98. Could the new torque curve on the 383 be throwing things off? Any help would be appreciated.
