tremec T56
I don't browse the transmission forum very often but i was digging through spohn's site and found a tremec T-56 6 speed in their tranny section. I did a search and couldn't find an exact answer but it sounds like this t56 bolts right up. I know a few things must change like the driveshaft, but what other type of mods are required? I would rather keep a 5-speed but my little T-5 can't handle the 350 HO I'm buying, and its also easier (to me at least) to find a 6-speed. Any info reguarding this tranny would be helpful, including things like what type of short throw could work, so thanks ahead of time for your reply.

Car: 94 Corvette
Engine: LT-1
Transmission: Freakin Automatic---For Now
The only thing I had to "change" was the pedals (mine was an auto), Flywheel & clutch (you'll have to do this too), cross-member and torque arm mount. That's it. You will probably have to do something for a speedo, I bought one of the Dakota Digital SGI-5 boxes to address that little issue.
