Oh your right, my mistake (sarcasm). After all there is no way he could have taken a picture 8 months ago and saved it. What the heck is your deal smart@ss.

After all this time, my Currie 9 inch is still quiet and the guy I know who had the problem is still running around with that noisy rear.

This was the same post that cropped up RIGHT AFTER I bought my Moser 9" rear. I'll admit, if I had read this post beforehand, I may have went with someone else too.

Maybe I just got lucky, but I've had no problems with excessive noise or anything. It's been great so far.

But if you backtrack through this post, it seems a few others chimed in that also bought Moser rears and have no problems.

I had actually considered a Strange rear at first, but I changed my mind after speaking with the sales rep there.....he didn't seem to know what he was talking about, and seemed almost arrogant when he responded to the questions I asked him.

I called Currie too, but the sales guy WAS knowledgible, freindly. The only reason I didn't go with them was because shipping was almost twice as much from where I live. Just my penny.

Again?

Wow I am surprised this old post popped back up again. It was a friend of mine that had alot of trouble with Moser,,,,and no he didn't take pictures of the gears It was not necessary. The Moser rears that seem to have the most trouble with noise are the 12 bolts,,,,not the 9 inch. Reason being is because we believe that the new casting 12 bolt from Moser is not quite square in my friends case,,,,causing a terrible gear pattern no matter how we set the pinion depth and back lash. The 12 bolt is an all new casting for the torque arm,,,and Moser makes their own,,,,,Strange and Currie use a different supplier and from what I have seen so far,,,,it's a much better product. After 3 gear sets in the Moser 12 bolt that sounded like a school bus,,,,it came out in favor of a Strange 12 bolt,,,all new parts again with the same gear manufacture and guess what,,,,,it's perfect now,,,no noise at all. Kinda makes you think about it "shrug" Larry.
