WC T-5 Vibration in second gear under load??
I just finished rebuilding my WC T-5 and everything seemed fine. After I broke it in I got on the pedal hard. In first it was fine, then I shifted to second, and once the RPM goes above 4000 the shifter starts to vibrate with the engine rpms until I shift into 3rd, then it goes away. I does not vibrate in any other gear at all and only vibrates in second gear at high rpm.
The only thing I could think of is that the transmission case is flexing and causing the output shaft to wobble, but it never used to do this when it was original. I have an LS1 driveshaft and on the highway everything else is fine and smooth, including the shifts.
Why would it only do this in 2nd at high RPM? Any one have this problem before?
