tv cable
I want to adjust the TV cable on my trans am to firm up the shifts, I had it done on my last one and made quite a bit of difference. I was wondering though if you can damage the tranny be going to far or if there are any adverse effects of doing this.

The TV cable isn't for adjusting the firmness of the shifts. It has one correct position. If you shorten the cable, it will ratchet forward into the correct position. If you lengthen it, your shifts will be early and soft which will lead to early clutch failure.
