shift kit concern...

i just got a 89 formula with alot of mods done to it. one is a shift kit in the auto transmission. i dont know much about the shift kits but....the 1st gear is real long if im just barely pressing on the gas (parking lot...takin off in a slow area from a stop) and it'll get 2 about 2 grand or a little higher and shift, hard. like it should but its HARSH. normal driving, its fine. do i risk anything keeping it like this? does it hurt ne thing when im going slow and it shifts like that? thanx in advance

ps besides that, its a great kit

The Trans-Go Performance Shift kit, when setup correctly, should be ok, as far as WOT shifts. Call me at 909 7851876, with any questions you might have?

wot is no problem..its great. but really my main concern now is wether or not the kickdown cable should be connected to the tbi (well..my dad said carb but..my car its a tbi) it seems like it isnt connected...because at like 50 im at about 2 grand or a little over. once the car is warmed up itll downshift, sometimes from that to like 1 and a half like it should. im just confused cuz im used 2 my 91 v6 firebird, lol
