cold shift problem...please help!

i have a shift kit in my car and it doesnt shift right when my cars cold. i drive 15 mins like this everyday so i need help! it revs to 2 1/2 in first and second gear. 3rd is really long..like i can get 2 60 mph and be at 2 and a half and it still wont shift. its fine though when they car is warmed up to 195 or whatever....i ran a search and saw a fluid change or a flush will help. but my fluid was prolly changed not 2 long ago, since its gotta shift kit and only 66,000 miles on it. i just got the car btw..thanks for your help!

also, i dont think the kickdown cable is connected somewhere either. it doesnt go down a gear or rev high if i get on it at like 3rd gear or so
