Finishing Auto to T5 Swap
Hey all, I'm pretty much done with my tranny swap, got the floor cut for the shifter, and the hole cut for the pedal assembley, everythings just about done, but one simple thing I am just not 100% sure on is what kind of fluid to put in the tranny and where to put it and how much, I've read that I can put either ATF or Gear Oil, but I'd like to be sure before I start pouring stuff in Any help would be appreciated.

On the passenger side of the T5, you will see two threaded plugs, one closer to the top of the tranny, and one near the bottom. I think they might even be 3/8th drive sockets, but don't quote me, I haven't looked at my T5 since last summer. You can drain out from the lower plug, and refill through the upper plug. Use good ATF, since that's what GM used from the factory.

one thing i would recomend is dont use those brittle cutting bits, you'll go through too many of those, use the thick fiber looking ones.
