Car: 87 Iroc
Engine: 5.7 TPI
Transmission: Automatic
2.73 to 3.42 gear ratio swap

ok so i've searched and searched for like 1hr30 and i can't find exactly what i needed. So far i've know that i need a gray 15 tooth and yellow 41 tooth. So that the speedo reads correctly, but what do i need for the accuatly swap. By the way i'm going from a one-wheeler to posi. car is a 92 camaro rs 305TBI

You need gears, a posi and an install kit and someone who knows wtf he's doing.

You can get the gears and kit from anywhere, as long as they're for a GM 10 bolt.

SLP may or may not still sell their takeout posi for like $100. If not, it was a great deal while it lasted.








BTW, it's sort of funny, you have the same car as I do (except I have a firebird), you're making the same swap I did and are asking the same questions as I did at about the same age as I was.

Transmission: T-56
Axle/Gears: 10bolt 3.42
In both of my firebirds I went from 2.73 to 3.42. I think its easier and cheaper to just swap out rearends. Also I bought both my speedo gears from ck performance. You just call and tell them what trans you have and the gear ratio and they figure it out and send it to you. I think its about $45 bucks shipped to your door.
