Rear end info for 1988 Trans Am GTA

I've been having problems with my rear end thats in my 88 GTA. I recently bought a eaton posi. unit, but it would not fit inside the housing. I would like to find a strong aftermarket posi unit and 3.73 gear, for my current 9 bolt rear end. Any info or opinions would be great!

Did you buy a posi for a 10 bolt?

Internally, 10 bolts and 9 bolts are not the same. For 9 bolt stuff, go to www.diffsolutions.com

I might be cheaper to just find a third gen 10 bolt diff and put it in.
