dipstick troubles
I swapped my 700r4 out for a 5 speed, and now i'm swapping back. I bent the dipstick tube somewhere along the line. I wasn't being carful, cause I didn't expect to put this trans back in. Now that I'm putting it back in, I can't get the dipstick in place. I've got a two questions - 1) does the dipstick go in front of or behind the air tube behind the engine (305 tpi)? 2) can I get the dipstick in after the trans is in or does it need to go up with the trans?
Thanks for the help in advance.

It will save alot of hassle if you get it in with the trans not bolted to the engine. I beleive the tube goes in front of the air tube.
