oil dipsick issue

Car: 14 scion tc/91 camaro rs
Engine: 2.5/ 360 pooch
Transmission: 6spd man/th350
Axle/Gears: na/2.73
oil dipsick issue
Long story short, i had to use the new oil pan i installed on my 350 and put it on my 400 that i installed, used same dipstick, 5qt pan currently has 6qts in it, not showin up on dipstick, dipsticks different from 350s to 400s? It all worked correctly on the 350. Any ideas?

Dipsticks are the same, height of the block is the same, it all works the same.
Sounds to me like the dipstick tube isn't installed into the block all the way.
