Did they tell you not to use synthetic gear lube?

Moser will say the same thing. I am pretty sure any serious Diff builder will. I have heard some say 1 will be fine, but I would rather be safe I guess. 3 quarts of Gear Oil and 2 bottles of GM Posi Additive from a GM dealer... I was always told to not use any other posi additive...

Gear Oil is your own preference... its always a war when we start talking about who uses what synthetic and what not.

Yes they told me to use non-synthetic gear lube. It seemed a little weird when I changed it though, as I used two bottles of additive, and only a little over one quart of 80W90 oil before it was full. I would have sworn it was supposed to take more.
