Transmission problems
My transmission is slipping,it wont change gears unless you floor it and redline it then let off.Any ideas on what it would be causing this?It is a stock 700 R4.Should I rebuild it or get a new trans? It is also electronic and I have no more computer stuff in my car.

rebuild kits for 700s arent that expensive. If you're lookin for streetin' the car, Id get a rebuild kit and find a reputable (sp) shop to rebuild it for you. Our trans guy in the shop (GM certified) charges $250+parts on the side, and he claims to be able to cut a few springs and take out some kinda check ball and basically making a free shift kit. But, I digress. I would say rebuild.
