Surprises found when rebuilding a t5

Previous condition of tranny: 90k miles, lost 5th, grinds 3rd and 4th.
Just wanted to post for the record that I lost 5th gear driving at normal highway speeds (55-60mph). It just let go, no noises or anything. I don't want to leave out that my turbos beat the crap out of this tranny. 3rd and 4th started grinding really bad one day, the stock clutch was tosted from too much power, and loosing 5th motivated me to pull the tranny to see if it could be rebuilt. When I pulled it out, the first thing I noticed was that the throwout bearing was cracked and bent right at the fork contact points. Then I picked up the tranny and heard...Clunk...clunk. I knew something had to be broken, it was just weird because it made no sounds when driving in 1-4. I opened up the tranny and found that the clip that holds 5th gear onto the output shaft popped off! nothing was broken there. When I got to the 3-4 syncronizers, I found two of the three keyways were broken. Most t5 websites claim these keys are always reusable (to the point where they're not included in many rebuild kits). That would explain the grinding in 3rd and 4th... the syncronizers were just spinning with the gears instead of with the output shaft. Now I gotta order the keys instead of putting the tranny back in right away.

summary:
abused tranny
no 5th = clip popped out of groove
grinding in 3rd and 4th = keys broken on 3-4 slider
clutch gave out = possibly broken throwout bearing and too much power combination
