Re: 700r4
Okay, this is a good idea!
Your car would have had a TH200 3 speed from the factory, not a TH350.
You will need a newer crossmember for the TH700R4, and a 4 speed automatic shifter and shift indicator plate for up top. You should be able to re-use your driveshaft and cooler lines. You may need a new torque arm mount if yours is really beat up.
On another note, which engine do you have now? If you have a V8, you could just swap in a TH2004R trans with NO MODIFICATIONS except the shifter and shift indicator plate. Your TH200 should have a different style torque arm mount than the 700R4.
Could you take a picture of your crossmember and torque arm so that I can see what it looks like? I may want to buy it!

Car: 1985 chevy camaro IROC-Z
Engine: 5.7 litre 350 4 bolt main
Transmission: 700r w/B&M shift kit
Axle/Gears: 10 bolt w/3:42 gears
Re: 700r4
thats odd because my old 82 z28 had a turbo 350 in it and i ran the numbers on the tranny to confirm it was a th350 and not th200
