700R4

My transmission in my car burned up and now I'm on the hunt for another one. I found a 700R4 from a 2.8 Blazer, but I know it will not mate up to my 350 because the bellhousing is different. My question is... can I remove the bellhousing from my broken transmission and put it onto the 700R4 from the 2.8 Blazer and then mate it with my 350?

I was informed that the transmission is cast as one unit and that the bellhousing is not interchangable.

Re: 700R4

A 700r4 out of a 4.3 v6 will work but needs some minor improvements. Many Chevy fullsize and S10 trucks will have this 700r4.
