converer to driveplate question

Ok guys i need some help. I just finished building my 350 to put in my 89 camaro i took out the 305 and got rid of it and i just wondering is the a certain position the the drive plate (flexplate) is suppose to be bolted to the converter. i saw in my haynes book it said to mark it for the relative position for install but i got rid of that 305 and the 350 has a new drive plate so i dont know how to do this part if anyone could help me so i can finish this swap i would greatly appreciate it thanks in advance
