TV cable adjusting on a F.I. to carb swap
i put a carb'ed 350 in my 83 Crossfire car. i have hooked up the TV cable but im not sure how to adjust it now. here's the problem i got. i can hook the line to the carb but i dont know where the line is supposed to be at when the throttle is closed. if i pull the line out the cable like it would when the throttle is wide open and let the line go and it will snap back but then i can still push it in about another inch no problem. the car shifts all funny and it used to chirp the tires going into 2nd but now it takes forever to shift and seems to shift too early.
any help is very appritiated

It sounds like you have a holley 750 vac sec? If so you need to get the linkage adapter for the throttle arm to correct it's geometry, not sure but you probably need a t.v. cable and mounting bracket off a carbed f body or other car, truck or van with a small block and 700R4.
For adjustment I usually start with full cable pull at wide open throttle.
