ok, i know i need the bracket that bolts to the linkage......it seems that i need one for the tv bracket itself to move it over inline with the linkage......can i just cut the stock one and fab it up?
That one will hold the cable the correct distance from the carb, but it doesn't address the other end of the thing. Not knowing the terminology, here's describing it instead. On the end of the primary throttle shaft there is a bracket that turns with the shaft, it's for attaching the throttle and kickdown. It doesn't have either a hole or a stud in the proper position for a TV cable. Why they haven't fixed this by now is beyond me, but you need a bolt-on thing there. Maybe this is what Edelbrock is selling, but I prefer to get both this and that bracket you linked to as a matched pair from TCI. Take a look at www.summitracing.com, TCI-376700 and TCI-376710, to see what it should be.
Anything can be fabricated,..that's what the "big" companies do, paint or chrome them, add a brand name...$359.97 please!!!..get pics, dimensions or check for the space U need to make it work, (check out other rides' pics...), I fab. brackets all the time, paint 'em up..."factory fresh" ma man!
