T-5 behind LS1
Does somebody has experience on that?
Talked to a guy who said it can be done with a special flywheel and another bellhousing.
Please no discussion about the T-5 is too weak for a LS1, just want to know if its possible.
Thanks for your help,
Rob

Re: T-5 behind LS1
You could use the McLeod modular bellhousing system, which is a three part system designed to bolt any trans to any engine. With the right combination of parts you can do that. You may have to run a hydraulic throwout bearing. I would imagine that you could use the LS1 flywheel and clutch with this setup. The T5 and T56 both use the same spline input shaft, and the same standard GM pilot bushing. I would get in touch with McLeod and see what parts you need.
BTW, the T5 is too weak to use behind an LS1.
