Is this common with camaro trans

I just got my camaro last week got it home got it running and on the road driving to work for the first time in the morning. On my first test run i noticed the shifter bouncing so i took it home and replaced a bad trany mount and checked the motor mounts and it is still doing it just not nearly as bad it seems to be doing it when the rear wheels hit a bump could this be because of the metal rail that runs along the drive line and connects the trany and the rear end? dont know what its called

re: Is this common with camaro trans

It's called a torque arm.

Sorry - I don't have any good answers for you other than the obvious - get under the car and see what else is an issue.

re: Is this common with camaro trans

all the bushings are rubber, i assume the trans is the t5? manual trans?

a littel movement in the shifter is normal, it is connected to the trans, and the trans will move with the engine and the torque of the torque arm.
