TPI TO CARB 700R4 SWAP NEED HELP PLEASE

HI
Ok i have a64 elcamino with a new 355 tpi /700R4 .
now i want to do the swap to a carb.
my 700R4 only has 1800 miles on a new rebuild !
Q1-- IS CAN I USE A STOCK TV AND Throttle bracket off a 80"s camaro or truck..... the aftermarket brackets ( SUCK )
Q2-- what edelbrock carbs can i use for this swap. ( 600 cmf )
Q3-- what lock up kit can i use with out taking down the trany pan ,my 700r4 is set up for the ECM...
Q4--- can i use the break light kit or the relay kit from Bowtie transmissions or summit or TCI or ron francis.
the ron francis has a kit where you do not have to change any thing in the 700r4 guts in the pan......
I do know i have to change the TV Cable to a carb tv cable..
Q5--- does any one know the part number for this swap.
Q6--- how do i set up the TV CABLE ALINEMENT FOR IT TO SHIFT RIGHT!
Q7-- is there a artical about this swap .....

Just wow!
Look, it takes what it takes, whether you like it or not. What are you scared of?
You do have to drop the pan. That, or drop the trans out of the car to change the TV cable. It can be done without dropping the pan, but only of the trans is not in a car. But that's more work, so you're dropping the pan.
While it's off, do the TV cable swap, to the cable and sheath for a carbureted setup.
Since you have an Edelbrock carb, use the Edelbrock or TCI bracket for the TV cable.
The B&M lockup kit may allow you to leave the pan on, but I don't know for sure, as I never tried that kit, and since you're dropping the pan for the TV cable swap, you can try the TCI or Painless lockup kits.

Q1-- Maybe - but Edelbrock makes a nice chrome throttle bracket for throttle cable and TV cable, good hefty part, doesn't flex or bend, attaches to carb intake, about $30 at Summit

Q2-- #1406 would be preferrrable Edelbrock - 600cfm and electric choke. #1405 a little more performance oriented, but no electric choke (although $60 buys an add-on electric choke kit for the 1405)

Q3-- the ONLY lockup kit I know that doesn't require dropping the pan is the B&M lockup kit - it works off the speedo sensor, and you set a "speed" to have the tranny lock up - expensive at $250 (vs. the $100 for the pan-drop kits)

Q4-- "I do know i have to change the TV Cable to a carb tv cable.." This is correct

Q5--- Camaros were carbed until 1987 - so any 1982 - 1987 carbed Camaro TV cable is fine

Q6-- You need a geometry corrector $20 from Summit) - little "L" shaped bracket that attaches to carb linkage - that and a good strudy bracket and you'll be set

Q7-- a here will yield many many results, as the carb swap has been done many many times with many brands of parts There's also a carb swap article here: www.thirdgen.org/carbswap
