4L60E & 4L65E Bolted Onto A TPI

I've Heard About People Bolting 4L60E Transmissions To Their TPI's And Just Skipping The Top Bolt. For This To Be Done Do You Just Need The Transmission, 4L60E 3rd Gen Conversion Cross Member & A 98-02 Camaro 4L60E Computer? Also Has Anyone Bolted A 4L65E Transmission To Their TPI's? If So What Are The Requirements For That Swap? Thanks!

The 4L60E is fully electronic and not compatible with any TPI ECM, or ECM in general

Any reason you want to use one behind your TPI?

in order to pull something like this off, you'd have to do the "ls1" harness/ignition swap listed in the tpi section. definitely not a simple bolt in and go ordeal.....

...or go to a stand alone controller as made by F.A.S.T. The earlier 4L60E will bolt right up with no problems.

Kings, is there a reason you want to go with a 4l60e over a 700r? Advantage of 4l60e is that you can change the shift points via computer.

For my build I am looking to use a 4l60e along with efi connections 24x conversion system. Gives you coil packs instead of distributor, LS1 ecu to tune and can run 4l60e.

I did a quick quote estimate on their website and it will be $1,800 for everything (using stock GM timing cover). Cheaper if you can fab your own harness. I figure it would be worth it for a total engine build since I would have to get a new distributor anyways and tuning hardware.

im going to be using a 4l60e when i do my 350 tbi swap. to run it and the engine i am going to use a 1617427 ecm. no more cables, no more governors to change, ecm controlled shift points and firmness.
