700r4 lockup

Running an 87 GTA 350 auto 700r4 shift kit, still considering Holley HP efi.
I was checking out the software they provide on their site and would like to match the lockup options from the HP EFI to near stock settings if possible.
What would the options be set to, roughly?

Re: 700r4 lockup

Experiment. I feel the stock computer locks up the converter way to soon and low in the rpm in a performance configuration with a higher stall.

I re-valved my tranny not to lock up and removed the lock up clutch to remove a little weight but I drag race.

You can't. The GM ECM firmware uses a completely different lockup scheme then the aftermarket ECMs. And is much more versatile and provides for much better drive-ability.

Basically, GM used a minimum MPH before lockup is allowed. Then two sets of tables of maximum TPS% required to unlock and of minimum TPS% required to lock versus MPH. One table for 2nd & 3rd, the other for 4th.

Along with various re-lock delays and a forced lock.

RBob.

Re: 700r4 lockup

Is it possible to use a stock computer to input the vss tps signals to control the TCC control separately and if so which of the pins on the stock computer (165 MAF) should be used?
Im guessing pins:

A6 - IGN
A7 - AT TCC control
A10 - VSS
C8 - Higear
A12 - GND
C14 - TPS

Would that cover it for the stock computer?
