Which rear end to choose?
Alright so right now on my z28 I got what I beleive is 3.23 stock gears with I knwo for sure is an open differential...Now my question is that a member on this board is selling a POSI unit with 2.77 gears will that make a noticeable driving difference if I installed it on my car..?
Also there is another person who is also selling a rear end of a 2001 WS6 3.23 gears POSI, with disk brakes but my problem is that I have 15" rims and will I even have enough clearance for the disk brakes to fit?????

The 2.77 is for a 9 bolt. If you have a 10 bolt then it won't fit.
Be careful when you buy a used Auburn differential. Most of the time they are either worn out or close to it. When they wear out they are scrap metal. They can not be rebuilt. The 4th gen cars used the Auburn up through '97. After that they used the Torsen, which is a much better unit.

its time for new rims lol
They will fit 15" ...But .. you have to grind the calipers ...no grinding then 16" or larger wheels

Re: Which rear end to choose?
Im not sure you have too do that on your part as I dont know your wheels
but its not much that will make the caliper fail
the grinding will be to the top I believe theres a couple fins
