I have a 89 T/A w/ a 700R4 that I've converted to carb several years back. I'm using the Bowtie Overdrives EZ TV cable setup. The car sits a lot and it developed a shifting issue earlier this year that I haven't addressed.

Everyonce in a while it will not shift until it gets to 2.5-3k. If you don't get to that RPM it will stay in that gear and the tach will drop idle speeds. It kinda acts like a big stall convertor. When you do go above that RPM it bang shifts HARD. When it's doing this the gas pedal is really hard to push down and it won't down shift.

It will do this in all gears. Sometimes if I smack the gas pedal really hard it will start shifting like it should.

I was thinking that the TV valve was sticking in the bore. I did a trans flush w/ the BG machine at work and used the cleaner prior to the flush but it didn't make a difference.

I was going to pull the TV valve out and replace it but I wanted to see if anyone had any other suggestions before I dropped the pan.
