No start, flooding out
I picked up an '87 MPFI 2.8 'bird to part out (good deal at $50). I want to get the engine fired to see if it's worth pulling to sell, but it won't start. It's got spark, the fuel pump is running, it floods itself REAL bad. After cranking, I pulled the spark plugs and gas literally was dripping off of them! It sputtered once with starting fluid like it wanted to fire, but then went back to just cranking. Any Ideas on where to start looking? It has been sitting unstarted for over a year, the fuel smells good, so I don't think it's gone bad yet.

how much gas is in it???
big funky canister in the corner of the car for the fuel vapors can suck gas into the engine. Its been happening allot lately. 4-5 post this month with people flooding out from it.
unhook all the lines and plug them. You may just have gotten a good running car for $50. With a simple problem.
