I didn't think it would have this much affect on the cars performance, yeah it's still slow as hell but it seems more responsive now. Other cars I've drove in the past you couldn't tell it had a new air filter in the way it drove. I already made up my mind that I wasn't going to put any money into this motor because it's just about dead, I was kinda hoping if I ignored taking care of it it will go sooner and I could get my swap sooner, but I was changing my oil(kind of a waste) so I thought might aswell change the air filter too.

nice huh. these things aill njever (well, never say never, there are a few v8 killers on here) be realy fast, but they have TORQUE!!!! which means the seem fast. i love driving my 2.8, well when it's not raining anyway (leaky tops)

also, there is no rule that says you need a blown engine to do a swap. my 2.8 runs GREAT and i was thinking of swapping.

goodluck BTW

On cars I dont care about, I shake the air filter real good, and hit it with compressed air to blow as much off of it as I can, then reinstall it reversed (filters usually flow more air through one spot than another, so if you spin it or flip it you can use it for longer)
