3" Exhaust
SO I hope to be getting headers soon, and want to replace the exhaust at the same time.
I have most of a Magnaflow 3" catback from my 93 Z28 sitting in the garage......if I got that fabbed up, would that be too big?

Re: 3" Exhaust
If I remember correctly due to the lack of back pressure using 3" it hurts performance more than gain? I don't think it will sound good with 3" exhaust I have not done a search on what 3" v6 exhaust sounds like. What kind of muffler are you going?

Re: 3" Exhaust
Someone on here has a chart for optimal exhaust system pipe size matched with engine displacement, but I don't know who it is.
Either way, for our small displacement V6 engines, 2.5" is optimal for single exhaust and 2" for true dual. I hope to go true dual sometime in the future.
