will the s-10 2.8 headers fit on the 86 bird without any mods? and would it be worth it? and why do manufacturers think its profitable to sell 2.8 headers for the s-10 when they could make real money making them for the birds and camaros
Trucks have lower emissions standards.
Beyond that, Extrude Hone the exhaust manifolds.
Beyond that ask Vic Edelbrock why he didn't get the 60* header CARB'd for f-body.
I did and got no response.
where is camaroDHUNTER whats the latest on the news about remanufacturing them...
also b4 the boards went over i remember reading a post that had a fax number to headman headers and the people said they could make a few hundred of them if we had 100 people willing to buy them... the post had the number and everything
Be realistic guys, if V6 fbody owners had enough money to make mass producing headers for V6 fbodies profitable, then the V6 fbody owners would already own V8 fbodies, which every company already offers headers for. There is no money in thirdgens right now. The cars aren't worth anything, the people that own them don't have money, etc. The V6 thirdgen fbody is even worse. The majority of V6 fbody owners have no interest in performance, or really can't afford it anyway.
Drew, that is such a realistic statement.
BUT, as things happen. you never know about market rebounding. What was once NOT hot, suddenly becomes acceptable and desired.
My Wifes 1968 Camaro.
Nice
Proper
6 Cylinder.
I recently turned down $15,000 for it.
She bought it for $600, late 70's early 80's.
Our desired product is for a niche market, so correct, tho.
And yes, few, truly desire for the manufacture.
When ya swap in the 3.4, headers become an afterthought. Freeing exhaust flow from the exhaust manifolds to the tail pipes, is the best effort for exhaust system.
Extrude hone is next step, but at $400 price range?
