Well i got my camaro a few weeks ago and it came with some odd rims on it. i really like them because they have a bold style. However im clueless as to what kind of rim it is. its 16" and thats all i really know. if anyone has any clue what they are it would be greatly appreciated.
They call them Sawblades but the actual name I can't remember .
I like the later IROC rims the best, plus it saves cash Ü
That depends if you have them already or not. If I had not bought the formula wheels plus tires that I did...I could have better looking aftermarket wheels+tires than I do now......althought at the time...for the price of the wheels...couldn't beat it. Formula wheels look bad-asz.

Q's - now those IMO are the best looking corvette wheels for a thirdgen, dont get me wrong they all look good, but the deep dish y2k's look the best,
but as far as the best wheel goes, i would have to say stock iroc's for the camaro
and GTA wheels for any bird, color matched is also a good option
i personally just picked up a set of Black rally wheels for my rs(for the simple fact that they were near perfect with no curb rash, and very very minor clear coat peeling around the lug holes) for $100, no tires.
okay so i have these rims on my car and they look beautiful but the problem is i cant get the power to the pavement... i dont care if i need to buy ugly rims... what is the fattest i can go on my 91 including rims and tires.... ive only got 245s now.
i think just the stock silver/black 85-87 iroc-z rims. if they are damaged they dont look to well put if they are in good condition or re-finished i think they look great. the chrome iroc's dont look to bad but not into like how some ppl have 20's, 18's should be the max
If you "massage" the wheel wells they can fit 315 tires easily. Being able to run viper size tires on your 3rdgen is awesome.
Vipers came with 335/30-18's on 18x13" rims, I haven't seen anyone put something that big on a 3rd gen without them sticking out some with a stock rear suspension/unmodified wheel tubs.
I've put 295's and 305's on Z06 rear rims (18x10.5, the 295's were actually slightly wider, the 305's were taller, they had interference issues in different places) and they're about the limit back there without making real changes or sticking out some (I have my inners hammered in/cut, my outers are rolled, there really isn't any more room to be had without cutting and welding). 315's on ZR1 17x11's mostly fit (I think most look like they stick out a little), and actually look better on some 9.5-10" rims, I don't believe that you can get the 315's on the ZR1 rims to work with small enough spacers to for them to look tucked in from all angles.
Wow, them deep dish Y2K's are pretty nice. I'd be stuck deciding between yours and UDAMON's wheels.
I've been looking around for a cheaper chrome wheel, to see how the chrome would hold up to the salty ocean air, before I get stupid and empty my bank account for Boze Octanes.

By the way Q's 91z28, do you have any side shots of the car? Showing basically the cars and wheels as I guess, a whole? I'm thinking about getting some.
I'm curious to see how a chrome wheel would hold up, since I live 13 miles from the ocean, and go there pretty often.
I'd literally cry if I forked out the $2,800+ for a set of Boze Octanes, and they started to flake and peel after a couple months of being around somewhat salty ocean air.

315's are not Viper size....unless it was the very first ones (?) and I don't remember. I remember 315s being the OEM Porsche size from Pirelli. I have been running the 335s on my Vette for almost 10 years...they were Viper size..but I also have to run Toyo Proxes RA1s to get any traction....650 hp on 18X12" wheels....I tried running it at 800 hp and it was no good at all. Barely gets traction at the 650 hp setting.
Personally I don't like to see Corvette wheels on FBodies. It's like they are trying to be something that they are not...but having said that a lot of the C5 and C6 wheels DO look great on these cars..with the C6s looking the best IMO. However, I most likely will go with an aftermarket (non GM) wheel...like CCW, Fikse, or HREs for my 91 after the LS6 is installed. I wish they made a later model Firebird Formula Wheel in an 18X10.5" wheel size...I would run 18X9.5" in the front. That would be really cool...if anybody knows of any 3rd Gen Wheels that come in a larger size then 16" please point me in the right direction.
You don't want to run a larger tire on the wrong wheel width. With proper inflation it will make the tire crown and you will actually loose contact patch vs. running a smaller (for wheel width)....315 to 305 is only 10mm and would work better on a 9.5" wheel.

I'm going to assume that your car ate the mustang and all was left was the wheels...
That would be my response haha, that's funny. Thanks for the spacer info. I'm actually considering running the black FR500 wheels on my 70'. I love the look/design of them especially the 10" wide version, but finding a wheel just like that in a Chevy pattern is a little difficult and expensive. I was going to get the Stern wheels that look similar but the dish isn't what I would like it to be. I figure guys can hate all they want but if it looks good it looks good, especially if its flying past you lol. And I don't see the point in spending 2-3K on a set of wheels JUST so I don't have to buy one originally designed for a Ford.

Yeah it didnt make sence for me to spen $1000 or more on just wheels when i picked these up with the tires off E-bay for $400 and they look just as good or better then any aftermarket wheels out there. And besides that its just an emblem in the middle and thats removable.
Bottlefed, more pics man. I love Mach 1 wheels. Were they in the mustang bolt pattern or Fbody bolt pattern. Eitherway, we need spacers right. But yeah, more pics.

Yup so true, and the FR500's just have an R emblem in the center (the replicas). I'm gonna run these on my sunset orange 70' when it's done:
They sell the spacer/adapter setups on ebay or call Skulte if you need an exact size, they can do it.
I will get more pics and post them, i got my adapters from A&A auto parts but I believe summit sells them. My wheels are ford pattern; I have a ford 9 inch in the back so all i eneded were spacers for the back and adapters up front.

Thats cool, I'm running Wilwood brakes up front so I could swap to the 4.5" bolt pattern but would still need a spacer. I could always run 4.5" out back in the 12 bolt when I put the wilwood brakes but again would still need a spacer, I'll probably do the adapter route. Sweet looking car man, can't wait to see more pics

Your wheel/tire set up looks really sharp, could you let me know what sizes you've got? Im hoping to do sumthing similar and not quite sure what sizes to go with for my 91. /quote]
I agree with !CamaroRS-Dave. The stockers look best. I got lucky....mine are still in great shape, as you can see--1986 factories. However, the Z06 wheels can look good with the right color ThirdGen Camaro.
