I need YOUR opinion--chrome iroc's
Okay you guys, i am seriously considering purchasing these rims, and i would like to know if this is a good deal or if there is something else out there better for me. i really like these chrome irocs however i also like the TTII's but i havent found a good price on those yet. anywho, heres the link
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/16-In...em200201517685
another thing, i just bought new tires from costco they were 245 50 r16 i believe, will these fit for sure? thanks for the help guys.
EDIT: does anyone have pics of their maro's with the 16 inch chrome irocs. i am not interested in getting new tires so please dont tell me to go 17 or bigger. thanks for the help again.

Price looks decent.
Yes your tires will fit these rims.
Cant say I have seen any (in my area atleast) 16" chromed IROC's .. most have been 17" Im sure the 16" will look ok..

i got those wheels on my car. mine are 18's though and were from a different person on ebay, but the quality of the american racing wheels are alot better than the other chrome irocs i think.

you prob wnt find TTII's for cheap. there a little pricy. chrome irocs look nice. i would look for 17's but 16's will work and will still look good.

Re: I need YOUR opinion--chrome iroc's
The stock IROC's are sixteen, and I think they're the best looking wheels on a third gen Camaro. I'm not much for chrome though, and wheels are about the only chrome part that readily goes on these cars. (And if someone mentions the chrome fender flares I will chop off your mu!!et) I'm a big fan of polished aluminum though.

Re: I need YOUR opinion--chrome iroc's
ya but theres no polished aluminum iroc rims that i am aware of?? as for the lowering the car comment, theres no way i would be able to b/c of the speed bumps by me, i scrape as is, and the last thing i need is a whole exhaust re-do

Those chrome 18's are sick, I have a set of polished IROCS I did myself, alot of work but it came out awsome. They are hareder to take care of then the chrome ones, caused they are polished. Mines are 90 IROCS

Yes. If you get chrome wheels I can't fathom them possibly looking good with anything other than chrome lugs.
*Maybe* the black caps that go on our factory lugs. Maybe. If it's a black car. Otherwise chrome lugs.
Don't forget a set of locks!

Re: I need YOUR opinion--chrome iroc's
Uhm. They don't have pictures? O.o
You could probably go down to your local Autozone and pick up a set of chrome lugs for cheaper. You're gonna wanna get ones that are closed (for looks) so you might want to see how far the lugs stick out of the nuts. And AFAIK, all of the "sets" at Autozone/Checker/etc come with locks and a set. You can also grab some chrome valve stems in the tire section.

Re: I need YOUR opinion--chrome iroc's
I paid a little over $1300 for mine. For the price...you can't beat them. But as far as quality....they do have some wave in them....and watch out cleaning the inside of them....because the edges are extremely sharp..I've cut my hand to hell cleaning mine. They are forsale if anyone is interested

Re: I need YOUR opinion--chrome iroc's
The chrome iroc's look good but the quality of the wheel is not great but I am a huge fan of the TTII's you could call me a little impartial though I think I paid 225 a wheel and got the nitto's for 100 each

Re: I need YOUR opinion--chrome iroc's
irocs are cheaply made wheels which is why i am getting rid of mine and getting tt2's. don't make the mistake i made. there is a reason why they are so cheap.

you know what looks better then Chrome 18" irocs.
Painting them to look like stock Iroc wheels. ( to me this is the only way to go.)

Re: I need YOUR opinion--chrome iroc's
you must have got the cheap version of the irocs. the american racing ones are very good quality and are fantastic wheels. before i got them i saw someone with the cheap irocs and they looked bad. i was kind of scared to buy mine but when i got them and put them on they were great looking wheels. but thats just my .

Re: I need YOUR opinion--chrome iroc's
i agree with that. american racing are the only ones to buy. everything else is the same. the 600 dollar ones or the 1200 dollar ones. it just depends on how far down the line the company selling them is. all junk...except the american racing ones. obviously because they are such a reputable company.

I have the American Racing version of the 18" irocs and I love them! The quality is great and there is no waves in the chrome!

i'll take that as a no. How about the chrome irocs ( non american racing) can i attach the factory iroc cap over the plain chrome area?
