can you fit a 15x10 inch wheel under a 86 iroc without having the joe dirt look and if so what backspacing do i need

Ive asked around, and have done the search looking to find a answer to exactly that same question. It helps if you mention what size tire you want on that wheel. From what I have been able to tell I can run a 15in. by 10in. wheel with 5.5 BS and a 295/50r15 tire with little to no pounding. I would not just take my word on this. I'm going to order 2 rear wheels, and that same set up in about 3 months . So it better work. Once their mounted I own them and cant get a exchange .

from the research i have done it should fit .. im running 19x10 this year C6 rims and from what i can tell they fit in
the wheel well just fine

5.5 backspacing is flush with the fender with most tires. 6.5 backspacing is inside the wheel well and requires moding but can handle more tire. I will only be running a 275 so my moding wont be as much. Soon as my cragars sell on ebay this week im buying the summit stars fronts 15x4 1.75 backspacing and 15x10 rears with 6.5 backspacing. Hopefully will be able to post pics once i get the rear rebuilt.
