9" rear 15x10 backspacing help

hey guys i have a 85 camaro with a 9" rear the guy i bought the car off said he thinks its 2" narrower than the stock rear. my question iswhat back spacing would i need to tuck a 15x10 wheel with 28x10.5 (28x12.5 et) slicks or 29.5x10.5 slicks. i want it to tuck under the fender lip without sticking out even if i have to beat and cut at the thing for hours because i hate how god awful a poorly backspaced wheel looks

from what ive read a 15x10 with 6.5 bs is what id need am i correct to asume this?

Re: 9" rear 15x10 backspacing help

if you dont know exactly what the width of the rear is, the only way to get your fitment issue would be for you to get a straight edge and a tape measure and measure for the wheels.

on a stock with rear, 5.5 BS with a 10" wheel is common, but they stick out. 6.5 looks best, but depending on tire, will require inner fender well modification, hammering maybe some cutting ect.

but again, without knowing what you have, i cant help you.
