Lo3 maniac

Just like the title says I have a set of corvette rally wheels with good tires I got for free. They were painted blue too match the color of the car. I scuffed up the paint pretty good and taped away. Painting the lip rustoleum cherry red. Going to paint the rest black butthe problem is I need center caps. I've got these 4th gen center caps laying around and I want to make them work.they fit perfectly into the center cap slot but there's no way of securing them. My plan is to drill holes in the cap and use the lug nuts to hold them on. Anyone ever try something similar?
