Falkens Ziex ZE-912, or Cooper Cobras?
I need some decent tires for my V6. I live in CT so we get some snow. -_-
Looking at the
Falken Ziex ZE-912 215/65/R15
Cooper Cobra Radial GT 235/60/R15
or maybe Cooper CS4 Touring 215/65/R15
Anyone have any insight with these in some light to moderate snow and rain?

I have the Falkens on my Firebird, ok on wet roads the few times its been out then, haven't tried them in the snow as I put the 'bird away in the winter. Got a set of Hankook W409's for my son's '87 Camaro, he swears by them. Good on snow or ice he says.

Take it from experience:
Falken Ziex ZE-912s + snow = Disaster.
They have good grip every other time, but don't bother if you may possibly need to run in the snow. Or, if you must get them, get a pair of snow tires (I recommend Yokohama IG-20s) for the REAR axle (don't put them on the front as the last thing you need in bad weather is the rear axle to run out of control). I ran IG-10s (discontinued) on my rear in 2007-8 and I was pretty much the only RWD car able to move around our snowed in parking lot (mostly unplowed at the time) when I was in CT for school. Also, get a couple of those "tube sand" bags and put them on the hump over the gas tank and rear axle, right behind the rear seats. And be prepared to feather the go pedal.

Heh, I'm the guy in the Silverado shaking my fist as I pass people driving a sports car in the snow.
I got a set of 912s from discount tire for like 60 a piece, they aren't snow capable even a little bit. In fact, I doubt id trust em in the rain. The compound is pretty soft so they're a good dry tire with a good mileage warranty, but beyond that keep em outta the snow.

Why not cooper RS3-A's? I would recommend those over the cooper cobras.
