Getting ready to spend $$$ on new wheels and tires.
Buying tires and rims is a pretty major investment and so I wanted to get some feedback on the sizes that I'm thinking of. I've already done quite a bit of reading on this site.
Below is the basic look that I'm going for. OK, maybe not quite that wide but I want Cragar SS rims and I want the rear rims to be noticeably taller and wider w/o any hammer work. I can't remember the tire or rim sizes for the car in the photo, but I used coil spring extenders to raise the rear end a bit.
Front. 225/60/15 on 8 in Cragar SS rims.
Rear. 275/50/17 on 9 in Cragar SS rims. Seems like ''17 * 9 is the largest that Cragar makes anymore.
Are these tires too wide for those rims? I'm finding it hard to find tire sizes that fit the rear. Most of the tires are truck or SUV tires, unless I go wider.
My wife claims that bra's are harder to shop for...
