I have just recently put headers on my 1991 camaro RS (305 vin E) when i was doing this i decided to take out the smog equipment, its all out except for the somg pump, is there anywhere that i can purchase an bracket that would take the place of the somg pump ???

 

Rip out the smog pump and get a shorterbelt. The new belt will go over the alt, straight down and under the power steering then going up over the waterpump back through to the crank then up to the AC and back.

 

Just check the technical articles section, the belt routing is all laid out in there like Mkos said.

With the idea being to reduce parasitic(spelling?) loss, isn't it better to just go with a shorter belt instead of introducing one more item on the serp belt's list of chores?
Does anyone which belt to use? i.e. off another car?
