Fuel Catalyst
Fuel Catalyst
I saw this on a show on Speedvision this weekend. It was either Motor Trend TV or Horsepower TV, but they tested an inline Fuel Catalyst product and I don't remember the name of the company that manufactured it. It advertised better emissions, improved fuel economy, AND more power. They did an emissions test on a mid 90s mustang and the before and after results showed about a 50% reduction in hydrocarbons and I a reduction in several other tests on the emissions tester. They did nothing in the way of evaluating the claims of better mileage and improved power, simply pointed to the reduction in hydrocarbons and claimed it was the result of better fuel burn, which would consequently results in better mileage and more power.
Is there any validity to the claims of this Fuel Catalyst? I remember hearing something about it a few years ago, but never really looked into it then (I was still in College and poor as a dog) Anyone have any actual experience with this product, or remember the name of the manufacturer? I don't think they talked about the cost, but unless it's unreasonably expensive I was thinking about buying it sometime down the road just to get some personal experience and see if there is really anything to it.

Ever heard of the cow magnet trick where you take two cow magnets and attach them to the fuel line just opposite each other. It was suppose to realien the molecules or energise them so they would atomize the fuel better or something like that.
May or may not be the same theory.
