I would, I'll be all over it, The T-Ram is a kick butt, set up. You got all the air flow needed, the firehawks are quick. I wish they did still make them though. I would get one.

Sorry to kill the party, but your probably about a year & a half late.

There were posts and some e-mail traffic a little over a year ago with Dave Hamburger, myself and others about redesigning the T-Ram since the original Ray Falconer tooling had been destroyed in a warehouse fire.

After a short while of re-viewing interest, I received an answer from Dave that SLP would not continue with revised T-ram developement.

Cost was the major holdup, and to get the cost reasonable, I don't think Dave & SLP got the number of those interested/responses they needed to justify.

Just like on group purchases, saying "Count me in" is diferent then saying "Dave, here's my money, and here's more from some other folks too".

I wish there had been a larger response back then, then it's possible you could have the T-ram as an option today.

Guess you could always try to get hold of Dave and see if there's been any change to that decision. Go to www.slponline.com and find a contact link, or his e-mail used to be hoodscoop@hoodscoop.com

I'd be in if the price was comparable to the mini ram, or super ram, or hopefully less T-Ram would be sweet on my 383 build up.

Not only would I want one,but Summitt used to make the whole Firehawk Crate moter with a T-ram.I have an old issue of Car Craft, where they dropped one in a Monte SS.That would have been my #1 replacement for my engine and I bet other thirdgeners as well.

This may sound silly but why couldn't you obtain a T-Ram (from a member here) and use it to mold a new casting. A little clean up on the mold to improve any flow weakness and you could be in business. A real innovative type could even fabricate it out of some light weight plastic/polymer/carbon fiber material to keep engine heat away (ala LS1).

I think this would be worth the effort...

Who's with me!

the price would be outrageous. look at the cost of sheetmetal manifolds. most of that money is in material and just the amount of time doing the welding.

I remember a couple years ago someone scored a t-ram set-up minus the side plenum tanks. He said he had a buddy that could fabricate the tanks for him if he had the critical dimensions and particulars. I sent the info to him, and he got back to me stating that it was going to cost him close to $6K just to fabricate the two plenums, which look pretty basic. The t-ram upper plenum a very complex casting...I think it would be very cost prohibitive to reproduce in small quantities...

Hey jimbo! Thanks for the pic and the casting comment. I know the Oct 91 Street Legal Performance/Summit catalog I have had an artist rendition of the airflow path and you're right, it is more complex than say a Superam plenum.

By the way, do you still have that "Blue Oval" badge on your Green car? hehe Also, I liked your garage pics on SLP's board recently.

...thanx Kev...nice to see that some of the old timers are still around. I think Dave H. is now in possession of the notorious Blue Oval...it might just find it's way on another f-body up at SLPs Customer Appreciation Day this weekend. Sure wish I could make it up...should be a blast and a half for sure.

The garage is fine but I've pretty much outgrown it...my next home renovation is going to be to raise the garage roof 2 feet and put in two 4-post car lifts. That way I'll end up with a 4-car garage in the same footprint as the 2-car one has now.

Maybe next year...
