Porting plenum?
Porting plenum?
Sorry if this is not the right board for this question but i couldnt find anywhere else.
Anyway, I have a 305 TPI speed density and I want to port the plenum. Is there somewhere that gives instructions on how to do this? I also plan to get SLP siamesed runners along with this. Why would i need to get them "port matched"? Is it necessary? Would SLP runners be a good idea?
thank you.

You can find some good instrutions for porting your plenum at http://members.aol.com/mmmm999/3rd-degree/home.htm
Go to the bottom of the page and click on "Tips", here you will find the directions on how to port you plenum as well as some advise on how to polish it!
Hope this helps!

Porting the plenum is very easy. You don't need siamesed runners on a near stock 305 TPI, the TPI intake was designed for a 305 and a ported base, runners, and plenum are probably good for close to 300hp on a 305 TPI.
