Where to Install MSD 6A???

I am looking for a cool way to install my MSD 6A box. I actually have tons of engine room as I have ditched smog, a/c, cruise control and my heater box. However I want a place that is cool with plenty of air moving through it. I was thinking of somewhere near where my cruise control junk used to go in front of the driver's side headlight. I would really like some MSD box install pics from people. I did a search and I only could find one post where someone actually posted a picture of their msd install. Thanks.

Can't get a pic of mine..I installed it where the long deceased (a moment of silence please!) computer used to be on a custom bracket I made for quick and easy removal if ever needed.I had it under the hood but like it better where it is now.

I have seen it by the pass side seat, on the lower dash by the radio, where the upper and lower dash meet. Sorry for the bad description and having no pics! good luck

Mothers Aluminum and Mag ploish and a strap of fabric like a t-shirt collar. Wrap it around after putting cleaner on, and start pulling back and forth to loosen the crap on there till it turns black. Then wipe clean with a terry cloth towel.

even though mine's not in use, the last guy decided he didn't need it???? and cut the wires and left in there. it's mounted on the coolant tank, kinda a nifty mounting job but if i did it it's not where i would put it.

Thanks badredbrd! I have seen people mount them up by the vaccum canisters too! Also where the wiper motor was also, they just didn't have wipers!

I mounted mine upside down over the battery. Makes it kinda fun to get to the bat, but, hey, it works.....

it says in the manual not to install it upside down because it wont let moisture escape.

I'll be putting mine in exactly the same place as all that smog crap is in the bin and left me a place to put it(unless somebody tells me it's not a good idea).

I've got my MSD mounted to the front driverside of my Elky. If you want you can checkout my little about page for a shot of how it's mounted, tho you can't see it too well.

http://350.streetracing.org/elky.htm

IIFC I used 1" long PVC spacers and self tapping screws to mount it against the fender.
