SDPC Vortec TPI base on backorder
Hey guys, I ordered my Vortec base back on Sept 5, and it still hasnt been shipped 
SDPC advised around 6 weeks delay, we are now coming up for 7 weeks. Do you guys have any idea whats happening before I email them?

Edelbrock has casted them, but is still finishing up the machine work and finishing touches. They should arrive at SDPC by the 30th of this month. (I happened to call SDPC and the Edelbrock rep was there). Dont worry, they should have plenty to fill orders when the shipment arrives. That is what I was told. I'm still waiting too!

yeah I was told "mid-October" also....the 30th is not what i call mid October. Anyway, the only reason why I havent tore them a new a -hole is b/c my sales guy (Chris Jones) seems to be a real nice guy and is honest and sincere *i think* LOL

We could just convert an LT-4 intake to work with our Vortec heads and we would get WAY more power out of it! If I dont get an exceptable answer from SDPC in the next couple of days, then I'm going to do the LT-4 conversion!!

got my base finally :/ WTF man, it's been 2 *** dang months already. ANyway, I must say Edlebrock's runner gaskets BLOW....don't get them. They are a tad biger than stock but still kinda shroud the runner port entry a little. Get ther TPIS big mouth gaskets .....they are $20 as opposed to edlecrocks $32 POS gaskets. Ohh, and get this. Edlecrock only packaged 5 out of the 8 necessary runner gaskets..............man, Im sick of these guys already

Well I got a reply from SDPC, my order was shipped on the 15th via Fedex International, wooohoo! 
I checked the Fedex site and my package is currently held up at customs clearance in Sydney
